Key Stage 4 - Science
Each of the lesson plans below has been written by an experienced teacher and is designed to provide a useful resource for the teaching of Science within the National Curriculum. This site will be constantly updated and new lesson plans will be added on regular basis so don't forget to visit regularly and check for new material.
Forces and Cannons: This lesson is designed to recap the idea of balanced and unbalanced forces and to use this as a stepping-stone to the quantitative relationship between force, mass and acceleration. Pupils build their own 'alka-seltzer' cannon and consider how to devise an experimental procedure to ascertain the forces generated during the firing of the cannon.
