A Day in the Life - FREE Transport for PO postcode schools!

Celebrate Trafalgar 200, with this collection of activities at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is based around Local History and Literacy with strong cross-curricular links to a variety of other subjects.  Children will have a special guided tour of HMS Victory followed by hands-on activities at the Royal Naval Museum, focusing on the lives of Georgian sailors and Portsmouth.

As an optional extra, after lunch there is the opportunity to look at life in the modern navy by visiting Action Stations, and the serving Royal Naval Crew will be available to talk about life on board HMS Victory today.  The day is made extra special as transport for schools with a PO post code is FREE.  Nationwide Building Society and Lucketts Coaches have generously sponsored this project, but hurry funding is on a first come first served basis.  This whole day costs £6.25 per pupil and is supported by a free resource pack.
