The Pressing Times of Horace Nelham

The Pressing Times of Horace Nelham was written and produced by Taunton Prep School English Teacher Andrew Manners with musician, Tim Cordin.
The musical charts the fortunes of a farmer who is forced to join the Navy shortly before the battle of Trafalgar and who finally meets up with his old childhood friend Nelson shortly before the Admiral is fatally wounded.
The production was first performed at Taunton school in January 2003 and then in the Summer 2003 in front of Nelsons flaghship HMS Victory in Portsmouth, with a cast of 70 pupils from the school.
The Pressing Times of Horace Nelham has a lively script that is supported by fourteen memorable musical numbers. There is opportunity for lots of involvement for a large cast.
More information about the production will be on the website shortly. For more information or details of how to obtain a copy of the production so your school can perform the musical as part of the Trafalgar 200 celebrations then please email enquiries@seaandlearn.co.uk
